I finally got to go here for Sunday brunch, and it didn’t disappoint especially since my girlfriend had me excited about the potatoes sold there. As said before, this place did live up to the hype, and I will be going back there for dinner, lunch, or another brunch.
A piece of advice when planning on going to this place is to get there early. If you don’t, you could be waiting up to a half-hour or longer. We got there about a half-hour after it had opened at 8 am, and the outside was packed. Luckily, seating on the inside of the Parkhouse was immediate, so we sat inside. The decor of Parkhouse resembles a house that was transformed into a restaurant, and it is suiting and welcoming.
The menu here offers an excellent selection for brunch as well as a unique drink menu. The drink menu covers coffee drinks, mimosas, bloody marys, and even provides mimosa flights. The mimosa flight is a choice of up to four different kinds of mimosas. Brunch here is popular as their menu offers an excellent variety of items for the occasion. They had some daily specials today, and one of them was pumpkin pancakes with oreo crumbles and, according to the menu, they have a regular house-made muffin. Parkhouse Eatery makes a lot of their condiments like the ketchup and jam. The jam is delicious on top of their bread, and it seems to be a raspberry or blackberry jam. It was a sweet and tart jam, but delicious regardless.
We ordered two tres egg scrambles for our brunch. My girlfriend got the spinach and artichoke heart egg scramble while I got the Portuguese sausage and bacon scramble that also included pepperoncinis, onions, and other vegetables. Both were delicious and the potatoes were awesome.
We both left this place satisified and with boxes in hand because the helpings were too large for us to finish. I recommend this place looking for a great brunch food with a charming atmosphere.
